Vagar airport hotels
The
airport in Vagar is the only airport in the Faroe Islands and
is on the island of Vagur, which is connected to Streymoy by an
underwater-tunnel to the beautiful little village of Leynar.
It is the
operating base for Faroese national airline Atlantic Airways -
who fly to Copenhagen, Aalborg and Billund in Denmark, Reykjavík
in Iceland, Shetland, Aberdeen and London in the United Kingdom,
and Oslo and Stavanger in Norway. Helicopter flights to many of
the Faroese islands can also be made from Vagar Airport.
